The second Chakra: Svadhisthana Chakra

The second chakra, or the Swadhisthana chakra, is located in the sacral area, just below the navel. Its ruling principle is water and it is responsible for our creativity, sexual energy, and pleasure. This chakra is about feeling and sensation. When it is balanced, we feel pleasure in our lives, and our creativity is enhanced. We are able to let go, enjoy ourselves, and feel confident in our sexual expression. When this chakra is out of balance, we may feel disconnected from our pleasure, creativity, and sexuality. We may experience sexual dysfunction, creative blocks, and a general sense of dissatisfaction.

The second chakra is also about emotions and feelings. When it is balanced, we are able to express our emotions in a healthy way. We feel confident and secure in our relationships and are able to enjoy intimacy. When this chakra is imbalanced, we may feel creatively blocked, have difficulty enjoying intimacy, or feel like our lives lack pleasure.
